ENERGY EFFICIENCY SHOULD BE CONSIDERED FIRST
One area of energy savings that is missed is the area of "Efficiency". The
energy saved by using efficiency was called by Amory Lovins, "negawatts'
and this area advocates the use of better, more efficient appliances, vehicles and
generation that can equal or exceed our future energy needs.
Those
technologies are here today and improving - just look at the compact fluorescent
lightbulb - the CFL.
Amory
and Hunter Lovins have a wonderful organization, the
Rocky Mountain Institute, dedicated to this
ideal.
I wholeheartedly recommend that you begin your energy adventure there.
Energy efficiency dollars are well spent dollars.
